Is level 100 still impossible?
" You get less and less experience for the same kills and need more and more total as your level goes up. Expect to spend as much time from 98-100 as you did from 1-98. |

" Lol. Touché. It's called time man. When you hit level 97, a T15 map gives you like less than 1%. T15 maps don't grow on trees and even if you run them blue, they are still dangerous. I mean you're getting like 5m exp per hour dog. Rip and you lose 10% facking percent. TEN. You know how crazy that is after level 98 where you get like 500k exp per hour on T15s? You could literally spend 8 hours grinding and if you rip, gone. You are actually in the whole. It's not that it's hard, it's just mindbumbling dull af. Like I'd rather smash my head against a rock than grind out the same 4 maps for 12 hours a day for a solid month. That's why getting to 100 is full autismo. And for what? 20% increased physical damage, or an additional 5% life or 12% attack speed? Like the gains are just not there. Maybe if there was a reward for 100. Say Zana gave you a special map you could only run at level 100. Or you got a cool badge by your name. Or you could unlock a cow level... " The highest Area has level 84 I think. If you are to far away from that level, you will gain way less experience. See http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Experience#Experience_penalties And that formula for the penalty changes for levels higher than 95 to decrease it even more. So if you are level 99 you gain only 6% of the normal XP from a T15 map (see http://poetools.com/experience-penalty/) And if you die, you will lose 10% of your XP towards the next level. That means to actualy progess you need to: - Do high level content (because lower level content gives literaly no XP) - Do not die, because that puts you progess back very very much. That together makes it realy hard. |
