Add e-mail to Steam-based POE account

Hello! I started playing POE through steam a couple years ago (as best I can recall). Due to patching speed issues through Steam, I would like to also be able to download the standalone client and log in that way (maintaining the same characters I have had through Steam). I am sending a support e-mail as I have seen suggested elsewhere, and am posting this via my linked Steam account. I will reference this post in my e-mail as well. Thank you for your assistance! You should be able to associate an e-mail account with your PoE account by doing this;
Mouse over Home → click on My Account → click on Manage Account → click on change email When you've done that, send an e-mail to support@grindinggear.com from that e-mail account. Your way isn't ideal because someone could see your post, send GGG Support an e-mail and they'd have numerous people claiming the same account, all offering the same 'proof'. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

I had tried to do that previously, but since I have never played POE outside of Steam, I'm unable to "change e-mail", because it requires your current POE password. (And I have no user/pass at all, due to playing only through steam.) I've followed up as Melissa_GGG requested, and thanks to you both! |
