GGG, Still Going Strong. Show Them Some Love!

There are lots of negative threads going around right now talking about how "GGG is slacking, where are the updates?" "I got hacked, It's GGG's fault!" "The game is broken, yadda yadda".

So I'm making this thread to try to shine a light on a few things and hopefully brighten up GGG's day!

GGG is a team of a small group of indie developers. They aren't a massive company. They don't have a hundred million budget that can hire hundreds of people. Even though they don't have that many staff members, a lot of the people working on this game still take the time out of their day to come post on the forums informing and helping us as much as they can.

The time that they aren't posting on the forums and helping us, they're taking their time sorting out other vital issues of the game and working on the game itself. They're currently under a lot of stress right now, and are working on many things at the moment. They're working their hands to the bone.

And yet they still work as hard as they can, through all the hate and complaints, to work to make the game as good as they can. The moments that I am typing this, all of GGG is working to make you guys a game that both you and they can love. A game that they have a true passion for.

They aren't sitting around doing nothing. Game development takes time. When they work on something, they actually have to spend a lot of time planning things out, tinkering with the code, fixing bugs, changing numbers and mechanics and sometimes completely changing things that they already had planned out in the process. Because of this they can't just tell us exactly what they're working on at every waking moment. They don't have the time to report on everything that they planned, because what they're working on right now may not be exactly the same as the finished product.

As for game/balance fixes, you guys have to understand that even though they are doing well above what most developers do to inform their players, they honestly can't inform us every little tidbit of every single update along the way. We all know there are issues with the game right now. GGG has commented on most, if not all of the main issues they they're currently dealing with, and are working on them every day. Even though there might be some silence between this period, and when the updates come out, rest assured that they're working on fixing everything.

So, instead of complaining, let's show them some love. They're working as hard as they can, and they need our support right now. Every compliment can make a difference to them, and they aren't getting very many many compliments right now. They really need some love, so let's show them some love you guys!

Thanks, GGG for making such a wonderful game. I look forward to playing it for many years, as do so many of others. It's one of the best games I have ever played, and I have faith that you guys will work to make this game as good as you possibly can. So far, the game is better than I could have imagined an ARPG could be. Thank you so much for making it.

Well, one more reason why I'm glad you can now play that other game.

...and I think this is the only time in PoE history 'that other game' hasn't been 'That Other Game.'

Hey, as much as I love to discuss heavy things, why I wasn't allowed to have a laugh here?

GGG is by far the most open and responsive game developer team I have ever seen. They are doing a fantastic work and you can tell that the people developning this game actually like games and want to make the best one out there as oposed to todays AAA games that is developed just to make money and by ppl than don't give a shit as long as they get their paycheck.

I'm pretty sure GGG also realizes that the forum crying in pretty much any game out the is almost exclusivly done by little children who want to blame thier own shortcommings on someone instead of learning and improving. They also have no idea how the software development process work, actually they don't even know how life work yet, but being vocal on forums they must anyways.
