Ewar's Mirage
Am I the only one that thinks this looks really cool? Mechanically it seems awesome, but...The DPS is sad. Yay, leveling unique...But it doesn't seem to be a Breach unique, so I gather it isn't getting upgraded?
I would love to see that get an upgraded form. I'm just dreaming of Deadeyes Dual Wielding these for two free projectiles and two free chains, for things like Frost Blades, Lightning Strike, Molten Strike..... - Sheepster Last bumped on Nov 26, 2016, 3:25:56 PM

Molten strike cant chain though :)
But yeah i could see this being a solid frost blades leveling item. Or you dual wield em and go elemental wild strike powerleveling or some shit. They seem very niche though, we don't have that many skills that fire off projectiles and most of them have horrendous scaling potential coupled with leech issue's.(due to being always best scaled purely elemental) At least they didn't forget to give it % attack speed, like most other "elemental attack" unique's. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

It might be OK for Wild Strike, if you dual wielded them.
Extra chain for the arc, extra proj for the freeze pulse. Wouldn't really help single target too much aside from the 110% WED from using two of em. Edit: Being OK with Wildstrike doesn't make Wildstrike good or usable by any means without balance changes :/ Theorycrafter/Build Creator for PORTAL guild @BlightScourge -> guide @ view-thread/1382667 (Retired till Mjolner is fixed) Lvl 94 Crit Mjolner Marauder twitch.tv/savagewolves Last edited by zSavage#0846 on Nov 23, 2016, 8:25:38 PM

It does seem very Niche, especially as it is ONLY a Leveling item.
As for Wild Strike, I try very hard to forget that...thing...exists. It's an attack, it's freeze pulse, it's arc, it's a fireball AOE.....Pick something, arg. If they made three skills out of it, THAT I would love. An Attack form of Arc or Freeze Pulse would be amazing, and I'm sure even the Molten Burst one could get some fun use....Except with all three TOGETHER, and unreliable, you can't fully scale them. If they were ONE damage type, you have access to penetration sources of all kinds and an elemental specific curse, along with elemental specific leech and elemental specific uniques. With all three elements mashed in there at random...It's just nowhere near as good as it could be. - Sheepster |

Still better than using Elemental Hit.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

" The thing is, unlike frost blades and lightning strikes, the (arc, aoe and proj) portion of the skill actually hits the initial target, which grants much higher single target than those. I was skeptical at first but this is actually my favourite melee skill. Higher single target than static strikes with better aoe coverage and without the delayed aspect of static strike. Very underrated skill. This spell screams for inquisitor + phys to lightning combo. Easier to scale than it looks. Just don't try to scale aoe or proj damage. Heres the best link combination imo : Melee phys, inc crit strikes, phys to lightning, multistrike and weapon ele damage. Insane dps on an inquisitor with dual doryani's catalyst and a lot of fun! |

I don't know why people assume it isn't a breach unique. It might not be but it could easily be the lightning breachlord's unique weapon. Xoph's Nurture, Ewar's Mirage, both are around the same level and have a specific gimmick and are named after someone or something.

" The newspost that revealed it specifically said that two of the four uniques were Breach Uniques, and the other two were not. We know that Xoph's Nurture is a Breach Unique, and we know that Xoph'ethula's Heart is a Breach Unique, so.... If those two are Breach Unique, Ewar's Mirage must not be. Also, if this was used by any end game boss that end game boss would be wimpy as hell, because this a wimpy weapon, for leveling only. - Sheepster |

One of the best 3D art I have seen yet, got to admit.
