Power Siphon?

Ive lurked around the build library but couldnt find any builds based on this skill. Is it really that bad? I really like the way it looks and getting power charges from every kill means I won't need to rely on uniques for PC generation.
A CI fast attack speed with max PC stacks with a ton of crit chance and multi? Could that even be viable?

There aren't too many PS builds as other skills seem to be more optimal in terms of power charge generation, clear speed and optimal skills set up such as not having to use any additional support gems. Below is a video (outdated) that can help explain better some of the differences in the 2.

Why Giantsbane Bronze Gauntlets don't work with Power Siphon? It's a projectile attack. Does Iron grip work only with bows?
