Ancestral warchief and use a single handed weapon?

Is there any reason to go ancestral warchief and use a single handed weapon?
I like my board and sword look

Sure, it means you can equip a shield, and equipping a shield means you can usually get better defenses

me being very rude
how is it that you have been around since Closed Beta and you don't even know the strengths and weaknesses of 1H+shield vs other options? Is this a troll? Did uou imagine some weird interaction with Warchief that makes Attack builds function differently? If your intention was to imply that Warchief builds don't need to build defense because their totems tank everything, I've found the opposite to be true. Locking out Decoy Totem plus having a significant amount if not all of your damage unable to Leech actually makes you squisher than other melee builds many times, at least in my experience.

Can confirm: my triple-Chief Bringer of Rain Scion is all the squish. Totems don't make her 'tanky'; her ability to flee like a frightened little mouse from the jaws of an angry honey badger, leaving behind CWDT Vortices every time she gets hit, is the only reason she survives.

A version with body armor and a shield might actually be able to take a punch, which would be a definite switch from praying your totems soak up all the aggro because you're made of summer sausage and Wraeclast is hungry.

Warchief is really good, i dont even have use a wep or wear a chest to kill stuff.

No chest still gives movement speed?

right, although I think the armour penalty has been reduced, so your gain (from removal of penalty) is smaller than it used to be

Not really sure the Blood Magic is helpful, though. You lose a lot of stuff from having all your mana (reservations) sliced off. Suppose you can't put Hezmana's Bloodlust's "Attacks have Blood Magic" on everything though, even if it is the ideal form of Blood Magic.

Otherwise pretty cool, though. Don't have to do Facebreakers for triple Warchief totems on Marauders anymore!

Yes but two handers deal much more damage.
