What carries over between leagues?

Hi, started playing PoE this league. Do things like the level of the masters and progress on the atlas carry over to new leagues or will both restart?

Nothing carries over to new leagues. It's always a completely fresh start. Your masters and atlas progression will be kept in standard but that's it.

So suppose next league my atlas progress is lower than current league, will the low progress overwrite my previous progress in standard?

No they don't rollback your progress on anything when they do league merges. I don't remember exactly what happens with atlas(it was in some random dev post on reddit) but they'll announce them later closer to the merge.

For Masters: at league end, the game chooses whichever setup had higher master levels, or if they're somehow tied, I heard the tiebreaker is the number of decorations you have.

For the Atlas, this is the first time we've had Atlas at all, so we don't have any experience with that and I didn't read the dev post Vesuvius mentioned, but I would guess it's very much like the masters, you probably keep whichever Atlas had higher bonus objective progress.

You don't lose anything and never will if you decide to make Standard your home :)
