Civ 6

Thanks, that simplifies things greatly.
Ive been loving civ 6, cept its janky ass ui.

Something to note on accelerating the wheel and irrigation, the improvement doesnt have to be on a resource, it can just be on a normal tile to boost the tech.

A couple of other tips/tricks ive learned.

- The Venetian Arsenal is stupidly op on water maps.
- Forbidden City and its wildcard slot is powerful as hell, get it before your enemies do.
- Trade Routes are extremely powerful, use them or die.
- Fuckin Spies, I hate them, but if your districts are connected, you can protect all of them by putting them in the city center
- After you have enough units to cope with barbarians, dont go for that monument, pump out some scouts, the bonus from tribal villages can be incredibly strong and useful in the early game.
- There is little downside to settling a lot of cities, unlike in 5, spread your wings.
- In the civics tree, it can be extremely useful to rush a new tier of government.
- Stacking multiples of the same luxury has no use outside of trade
- The Arsenal is a key early game district that boosts production and gives you a second attack point with your cities
- If you start near scythia, your immediate goal should be thier destruction, fuckin warmongers.
- Do not underestimate builders, they are key to victory. The policy that gives them two extra uses is far stronger than it initially seems.

Oh yeah, and there is an option in one of the inis to turn off that fucking unit autofocus bullshit, should be quite easy to find with a google.

All in all I feel 6 is an excellent game and should be downright amazing with a couple of expansions. Look at what the expansions did for 5.

About luxury resources: each luxury is good for 4 cities only, so there's actually a point to stacking multiples beside trading, especially if you go wide.

About the Venetian Arsenal: it's just as nonsensical as Scythia's bonus. Combine with a 100% naval/cavalry units policy and it becomes simply ridiculous.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Oh, i played the first civ too, so consider me a pro in that regard.
Always to the point where the game asked three questions for copyrightprotection and my bro hid the book with the answers.

yeah, unit autofocus is totally annoying, instead of jumping to the closest next unit it most of the times jumps to all over the globe.
If i don´t want to be reminded to reset my spies regularly i usually tend to not build any.

Also i basically can´t live with an important key QoL improvment anymore:
I neeed an Auctionhouse, believe me when i say definitifely do,
i want to expand my borders faster and i would pay those 2cents for extra plots of land
also would be funny if i can purchase land in someone eleses offlinegame.
Firaxis should go bankrupt for not considering to implement one of the gamingmarkets most glorious innovative innovations. ;)

While its true it only extends to 4 cities, a second copy of the same resource will not do another 4 cities, it will just do nothing. I was thinking it was working the same way you did at first as well.

Oh! Damn. Good to know then, thanks.

Cons:

- The AI is completely psycho.

Found a religion, 3 people declare war on me.

Build more wonders than one of the leaders, and I get denounced for it. War declaration 3 turns later.

I develop a resource, and one of the leaders tells me he wants to make my people slaves.

Germany is ready to holocaust me just because I completed a city state quest.

I've done 3 games and in every game all the other leaders were salty with me 100% of the time. I just played normally. I even passed some salt around, free of charge. Literally. I gibs dem free shit and da still be some hatin mofos.

- Still no Hitler, Stalin, Mao as leaders.

It's pretty easy to see why this will never happen. When you start a game, you have that little intro with your leader, and some specifics. Imagine Sean Bean saying the following:

"Oh Hitler, you gassed so very many people..."

Someone will mod it in, as usual.

I understand why he will never officially put in. There are too many delicate little flowers out there who'd be triggered by it. I don't like it when developers bow to those kinds of people. They're in a fringe minority.

I think most regular people would be OK with the fact that some of the leaders of specific countries were historical villains. I don't even mind for their being 2 leader options for every country, with one of the options being someone notorious. Cathrine de Medici for France? Really? What about Napolean? None of the leader choices are that interesting, and most of them are pussies. Like the leader of China for example is a sniveling little bitch. Denounces you for building more wonders than him. What a delicate little flower, lmao!

The only thing that really surprises me is that they didn't put Obama as the leader of the American Empire. He'd fit right in with what amounts to mostly a lineup of pussies.

Do tell, who's a pussy from the civ 6 leaders? It could be argued about several but most are, in fact, the exact opposite.

Or your definition of a 'pussy' is any leader who isn't responsible for the deaths of millions?
You have to be realistic about these things.
