[2.4] Frost Knight - Ice Crash Inquisitor - 8x Jewels - Expensive - Viable for most/all Map Mods
Honorable knights use swords! Not mauls, maces and wands like barbarians and witchers!
Key factors and requirement: + Legacy 20% Vinktars or similar is best. I have put up alernative ascendency choice without vinktar. + 7-8x four stats jewels. + Decent one-hand sword with increased crit chance. ++ Reaching 7k+ life without Kaom's chest. ++ Achieving group play viability against naturally advantageous setups such as BV or ranged/projectile builds. ++ Almost permafreezing almost any content in the game. ++ Use of Consecrated Ground for immunity to status ailments. ++ Viability for most to all map mods. Defence: Key stats on current setup: - 7222 life (no Kaom's) - 10.4% life reg (with consecrated ground up basically all the time), without still 6.4% - 100% immunity to status ailments - 23% block chance (minimum, no increase) without rumis, rumi's is not required but can be used for extra hard content, if we want block to be higher we use rumi's permanently - ~10k armour (~45% reduction at lvl99) - ~15% evasion rating - Vaal Grace for bosses - Consecrated Ground on kill and when being hit We don't go Iron Reflexes as evading once in a while is 100% more useful than a bit more armour.

Offence with Frenzy Charges + Flasks
![]() - ~160k vanilla damage - ~360k wth flasks and 5 frenzy charges up - We add vaal haste for bosses and for movement speed. - We get +50% damage from shocking enemies with Vinktars. - We can add a 4th dmgh flask when replacing quicksilver with Lion's Roar but this isn't really needed at all. - We don't need capped crit chance as dmg is high enough overall and Vinktars applies instant leech to non crits. More crits however would be great for that build and I am working on it. I consider 2/3 CC to be the low cap to make this build viable which I am on right now. - We get alot of critical strike multiplier from jewels. Auras/Heralds: - Hatred - Herald of Ice - Herald of Ash + We switch off Herald of Ash in no regen maps. + In group play we benefit alot from common group auras such as Grace. Charges: We make use of all 3 charges occasionally. - 5 Frenzy (one from Bandits) - 3 Endurance - 3 Power + We play with Blood Rage most of the time. + Occasional use of Enduging Cry before approaching large hard groups on hard maps. + We sometimes get powercharges from CWDT + Assassins Mark (this has to be improved). Curses: - Assassins Mark + CWDT - Switch for Enfeeble/TC makes alot of sense and drop power charge acquisition. Ascendency: Inquisitor - We take Inevitable Judgement and Pius Path. Without Vinktars: We use Instruments of Virtue & Augury of Penitence instead of Pius Path. Use Blood Rage before fights for 50% attack damage then. Bandits: + life + phys dmg/attack speed + charge (frenzy usually) Build at lvl 99: PoE: https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAUBAAHcApYEswUtBiAGogixFCAUdRUgF9wZtBo4I9MnLygqKYss6S2DLlM1kjrYOuE8BTwtPT49_D_8QzFHfkqYTP9N404qUEdW6FcNWGNYdVnzWhpbr18_ZU1mVGhYaGVo8m8nbztyqXSgdO12rHfXd-N4DXlogDCCm4NfhNmFUoV7hrOJ2ItPi4yMz49gkFWSbpJ9lFyXeZhvmjuaaptqm26cxJ-Cn9-iAKZXqW6sqq2NtfK3IrxWvTa-p8AawGbBBMMzxPbGrsxmz37SfNNv15bYvdlh2sHcI90N34bgleRR5c_l5uhm6hjsOO8O73zwH_JF85v2SPcy-d3-Cv6P?accountName=LSN&characterName=Templar_Dark Passive Planner: http://poedb.tw/us/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAUAAQHcBLMFLQYgBqIIsRQgFHUVIBfcGbQaOCPTJy8oKizpLYMuUzWSOtg64TwFPC09Pj38P_xDMUd-SphM_03jTipQR1boVw1YY1h1WfNaGluvXz9lTWZUaFhoZWjybydvO3KpdKB07Xasd9d343gNeWiCm4NfhNmFUoV7hrOJ2ItPi4yMz49gkFWSfZRcl3mYb5o7mmqbapzEn4Kf36IAplepbqyqrY218rcivTa-p8AawGbBBMMzxPbGrsxmz37Tb9eW2L3ZYdrB3CPdDeCV5FHlz-Xm6GbqGOw47w7vfPAf8kXzm_ZI9zL53f4K_o8= - At lvl 100 we get +5% life. - We take the 8th jewel which requires 4 points to take last before that. - We can replace the 8th jewel with anything else useful such as Indomitable +5% life. Gear - We don't use Abyssus as getting one hitted is easy enough without it and our damage is sufficient. - We don't use Carcass Jack as we want the defensive stats from a rare chest. Size is not the only thing that matters. Actually too large size prevents us and group from recognizing stuff on the ground quickly enough that is required to be manually dodged and therefore is bad. But Carcass Jack should be perfectl viable for this setup. - We get %AoE increase 15% from passives and 12% from helmet only. - We use a one-hand sword. Anything 350 dps+ with 30%+ increased crit should be viable. High crit multi swords are usually better than the sword I use but require higher investment into dex and accuracy. Flasks: That is our standard setup. The Sulphur Flask provides damage (even more than taste of hate) as well as immunity to status effects whenever we need them as it can be used four times. Switch in or use instead if flasks above missing: - Legacy Vinktars however is key for this very version of the build. Check Ascendancy for non Vinktar build. - Without Vinktar we don't use consecrated ground at all and have room for Rumi's & Lion's Roar or an additional health flask. - We use reduced charges used wherever possible as this stat allows us +1 use of each flask without recharge and add to that a faster recharge speed. - The standard setup can also be played with 2 life flasks and 3 utility flasks for sure. Jewels: We use jewels to get %life on every single one of them and mainly crit multi, attack speed, accuracy, crit chance, increased area damage, melee damage, etc. - I have made good experiences with using at least one %increased freeze duration Jewel in order to make freeze almost permanent on any level of content which allows status ailments to be applied. - Having 4 stats on every jewel is what makes having that many jewels viable and profitable. If your jewels have less stats then use 5-6 jewels only and benefit elsewhere. Jewels I use: Gem Setups: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6L Chest/Main: Ice Crash + Attack Speed + Weapon Elemental Damage + Melee Physical + Fortify + Increased Critical Strikes 4L Auras: Enlighten + Hatred + Herald of Ice + Herald of Ash (if you have enlighten 2/3 then just switch off Herald of Ash or Ice) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3L Shield/Weapon: Increased Duration + Vaal Haste + Vaal Grace 4L CWDT1: CWDT + Molten Shell + Immortal Call + Ice Golem (this is a bit random, I enjoy the golem being recasted automatically here and the, increased duration probably makes more sense here) 3L CWDT2: CWDT + Curse (Assassins Mark/Enfeeble/Temporal Chains) + Increased Duration/Increased Area of effect (I use ice nova for the visual here; this can be completely exchanged for anything else low level CWDT can make sense here to proc it more oftenly; I am still trying out what is most useful here) 4L Movement/Bloodrage: Leap Slap + Faster Attacks + Blood Rage + Enduring Cry ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - The bottom 4 setups can be completely changed and mixed up within each other. I try out new setups permanently. The shown setups are one way to do it, certainly not the very best yet. - Use whirling blades instead if you like it more and for better manual dodge. - Use fortify with leapslam/whirling blades instead if you feel like that is more viable for you. For me it is not. I want it to be up anytime and not have to slam/blade into a group to first put it up and then deal damage. Map Mods: - We switch in for reflect maps for either WED or MPD on reflect maps. Additionally for extra hard map mods, but this barely ever is required. - Physical reflect can be handled without LL mostly but it is safer to just do switch it. Vuln + phys reflect should be viable with LL instead of MPD. - Elemental reflect can only be handled with LL instead of WED. - Elemental reflect + -max resistances can be viable with LL + LGOH instead of WED + MPD. I have to try more how viable this is, such map mods should generally be avoided. - No leech maps could potentially be handled with consecrated ground. I have to try more and see how viable this is. This is the only map mod we should avoid playing at all with other hard map stats. - Blood Magic is completely fine. We just switch off all auras/heralds. I have deathlessly cleared Core Map with Blood Magic and Enfeeble. - Elemental Weakness has no effect on us as we overcap all resistances due mostly rare item's in use. - Shaper: haven't done yet but it should be fully viable with some practice and exchange in flasks and gems. Going do add that as soon as I have approached it. - Guardians: Cleared all 4 guardians solo. Not deathless though on first attempts. We are no facetanky overpowered ES build for sure but we can defenitely do all the stuff when using more portals and even deathless in some cases and with better practise. (This build is not to be best for Shaper/Guardians but have fun with a melee/life build in group play/leveling) Improvements: - Things I am still working on - + Gloves with curse on hit. + Better Rings & Amulet. + Better gem setups in 4 links + 30% movement speed boots. Additional Informations - Not really lvling viable as is. Has to be and can easily be adapted for lvling though. Might add that later. - I have used about 200 regrets already this season to try and test the best version of this build for endgame and came up with what is above. It outplays any 5-6k life setups for sure if prevent dying matters to you. Having 7k+ life puts us on par with alot of Kaom's builds and lets us imagine how great it was to be ES. Basically nothing usual can one-hit us, not even the guardians with any of their attacks (potentially they can on ultra hard rolled maps which you prevent for guardians anyway). Adding & updating informations in future. Greetings & Have fun! Last edited by LSN#3878 on Oct 21, 2016, 12:05:46 PM Last bumped on Oct 21, 2016, 9:54:07 AM
