poe.trade ads/redirects

I have had several issues with the poe.trade site. Had to switch from IE to Chrome to get the page to stop crashing but I'm still having problems with sound ads randomly starting and now I'm getting page redirects that force me to close the browser.

I'm pretty illiterate with ad blocking and such--can some smarter person than me about this suggest a couple ways I can prevent the ads and redirects? I'm I missing something within Chrome that does this?

Would like to have several tabs open at once to do different searches, but it's time consuming for me to have to restart the entire browser due to a redirect and set searches back up.

Edit: posting this in gameplay help b/c trade is a HUGE part of playing this game.
