[2.4] Slayer Crit Oro's Sacrifice a.k.a. Ember Spirit. Reflect and Procupine viable

I know there is already a lot of Oro's Sacrifice build guide out there but I still want to share my attempt to push it to the limit. The skill I use the most with Oro's is flicker strike, which resemble my favorite Dota 2 hero Ember Spirit.

This build can crit and cleave too just like Ember with Battle Fury and Daedalus!

Disclaimer: This is an expensive build and you cannot facetank everything. Know your enemy!



How is this build differ from other Oro's Sacrifice build?

- This build can do reflect map and procupine. It can actually freeze mobs with boot enchant/herald of ice.
- More leech from over kill and ascendancy.
- Crit => more damage.

Progression and improvements

NOTE:
- Shaper: Purity>AA since most damage is degen. Melee hit tankable. No need lightning res.
- Flammability > Ass Mark. Bonus is bigger in boss fights and give more chance to sustain charge.

TO DO:
- Upgrade from diamond to opal rings.
- LVL to 94 for Phase Acro.
- Getting helm enchantment. DONE
- Chimera. DONE
- Hydra. DONE
- Phoenix. DECIDED TO DO IT THE EZ WAY WITH ANOTHER CHARACTER.
- Getting 2nd 6L for molten strike and get Point Blank.

DONE:
- Hydra is down using flicker strike.

Tip & Tricks

- Lock the name of a boss or any target you want to focus. Flicker will continue to chase the enemy even if it used a teleport skill.

- Tired of holding shift while pressing leap slam? Simply bind shift and leap slam in one key

- Want a good head start with full frenzy charge? Get a 3l quill rain in off hand: Frenzy - GMP - BM.

Q: How do I curse or generate Power Charges?
A: Self cast Blade vortex linked with CoH and PCoC to generate charge and apply curse. Flicker brings us to melee range and BV will do the dirty tricks.

Q: Is crit chance OK without Assassin ascendancy?
A: 55% crit chance with charge + Assasin's Mark and occasionally Diamond Flask and I can crit and sustain charge even against single target. Check out my Hydra run to see for your self.

Q: How do you survive against reflect?
A: Acuity > Vaal Pact. We have 2.4 % from tree + ascendancy, 0.2% from belt. AA bonus is applied all the time since flicker is not counted as moving so we take less fire damage. The real star though is the ascendancy node "Endless Hunger". You are still required to manage flasks decently though. Check out my videos with reflect maps.

Q: Why u no Blood Rage or golem?
A: Apart from the attack speed, Blood Rage doesn't give me anything in a single boss fight, which I will ultimately attempt. It is also a nuisance in vulnerability/low regen/no regen maps. Golem dies and I don't want to be bother summoning them all the time. It also hampers me in chain maps.

Gear

- Helm: Rare helm, Rat's Nest, Starkonja's Head are good options for this build. I chose Rare helm to cap resist more easily while using a good amulet.

- Amulet: Rare amulet with Life/Crit Mul/Crit Chance/Wed.

- Rings: Opal rings, Diamond Rings. I personally think Opal rings would be better since scaling Oro's Damage is more efficient than its crit chance. I yet still couldn't craft a good ring though.

- Gloves: Atziri's Acuity. Getting Vaal Pact waste the ascendancy skill of Slayer and you will still run into problem in low regen maps. Acuity saves points, give int and life. IMO Slayer is perfectly build for Slayer crit builds.

- Belt: Dory's Invitation. Extra chance to ignite to buffer when we don't crit and more leech? Yes please.

- Boots: Rare boots. Two-tone is not recommended since there are many enchantment worth getting.

- Chest: Kaom's Heart. Tons of life, fire damage. Nuff said.

- Jewels: Life>Crit chance with two hand>Fire damage>melee damage> attack speed with two hand.

- Flasks: Worm flask is very good for providing a large amount of overkill leech since the worm is very week. It can be used to get fortify buff, frenzy charges, boot enchantment buff.
Other flasks: Diamond flasks, basalts, stibnite with reduced charge used. Stinite and basalt is strong defensive wise and stibnite with reduced charge used can be use multiple times. I don't feel quicksilver is needed since leap slam is quite fast already.


Enchantment

This is where it gets interesting for me.

- Helm enchantment: Flicker strike damage. Nuff said.

- Boots enchantment:
Added Fire damage if you've killed recently is quite good for just raw damage.
Inc. Crit if you haven't crit recently is great too so I can drop diamond rings for opal rings.
Added Cold damage if you've killed recently is good for map clearing since you can freeze and shatter procupines, crab, etc.
Other enchantments like leech, attack speed, dodge chance are also nice.

- Gloves enchantment: All the attack enchantment are nice for clearing even faster. I personally like Commandment of Spite to chill AoE for 2 second when hit.




Leveling and bandits

Skill Gems

- Flicker Strike + Fire Pen + WED + Multistrike + Inc. Crit Strike + Faster Attacks. If 5L remove Faster Attacks

- Molten strikes + Fire Pen + WED + Multistrike + Inc. Crit Strike + Faster Attack. We can get Point Blank from the tree for more damage multiplier for the ballz. Color setup is different tho.

- Cyclone + Fire Pen + WED + Inc. Crit Strikes + FA + Conc Effect. Same color but require me to get quicksilver.

- CwDT + IC - Anger - Arctic Armour. IC mainly use for procupine when I kill a large pack. I personally find Inc. Duration not worth for just IC.

- Leap Slam - Faster Attacks - Blood Magic - Fortify. This is how I get fortify buff for targets that can do big damage. Leap into them and I can start flicking more safely. If it didn't die after 5 sec then repeat.

- Blade Vortex + Curse on Hit + Assassin's Mark + Power Charge on Crit. This is how I apply Assassin's Mark to mobs wherever I go. Works against single target too. I just have to cast it from time to time.



Map mods

- Ele reflect can be done but you will leech less so extra damage with ele reflect is a bit dangerous.
- No status ailment can be done but u need other skills like lacerate or cleave.
- No leech is a definately NO since we build around leeching.

Hey, as a fellow DotA player i enjoyed reading your guide, Flicker Oro's is indeed the incarnation of Ember Spirit in Path of Exile.

Still, there are somethings bothering me with your tree and gems setups.

I can see you're using CWDT + IC but i can't see where are the endurace charges coming from?

I also think that Arctic armour main benefits are wasted here since you'll never be stationary, are you using this just for the chilling? Dont think it's worth it. Maybe change it for Blasphemy + Assassin's Mark so you don't have to self cast BV for cursing.

You should really reconsider not using a golem, at lvl 20 they're are fairly tanky so you only need to resummon once or twice per map, i would recommend the Ice Golem for this build. And while we are onto that, you should also use Ancestral Warchief for bosses, 18% MORE melee dmg is no joke.

About the tree, i dont see why you would skip that last Maximum Frenzy Charge passive, again it's MORE dmg, just swap those two sword crit multiplier passives to get that. 4% MORE dmg + 4% increased attack speed > 50% crit multiplier.

You would also probably have more dmg with a corrupted +1 Frenzy on boots instead of that enchantment but i'm not 100% sure and it would also make it more expensive.

If you want to push this builds to its limits, there's always the possibility of buying a +1 curse amulet ($$$) and going with Flammability + Assassin's Mark, that would be dope.
