whirling blades aoe??

is there a way to increase whirling blades AoE? i know the norm right now is using whirling blades for clearspeed and fortify but i also want to use it as a pseudo-attack
or is this skill forever and will be just that? Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? you could increase attack range I guess, but not area size. It's free, quit complaining, and just play the game.

The damage is too low per hit, and it only hits each enemy once; also there's no real way to scale the AoE or enemies hit per attack.
Might be fun on some super-fast-moving CoC build though, now they have changed how it works. Or maybe Cospri's Malice? Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
