[2.4] Another Assassin Wander, When Frost Wall Dies, Essences Rise

Hello,

THis isn't necesssarily a guide as much as it is a testing/crafting ground of the interaction between Essence Crafting and Wanding. Some people have shown interest in terms of damage, mainly single target of course. I plan to try a few classes as well, mainly Shadow Assassin, Ranger Pathfinder, and an Elemental Inquisitor.

As of right now, I'm crafting for a Assassin Chaos/phys Wander
As far as Essence Crafting, here's where the majority of my currency will be sunk:

UPDATE, THEORYCRAFTING COMPLETE: Everything you'll find in this spoiler is what I've tested thus far. Things like delirium gloves, to opal rings, to steals, to envy rings etc etc. Most will show my point of view before I actually started testing things.

Gloves:
Fingerless or Gripped base
Essence of Delirium, Essence of Insanity, Essence of Hysteria.
Believe it or not, the top two in my opinion are going to be Delirium (for the chaos Wanders), and Hysteria for elemental as well as just oldschool phys. Its hard to say without testing but lowlife aura elemental wander seems like the build you'd want Insanity.

Jewelry:

Resistance Base, Diamond, Moonstone, or Opals/Steels
Essence of Envy, or any flat elemental Essence, or perhaps even some crit multi/attack speed on steels.
Crystal Belts are the other big one, with that amount of ES and combined with other high es gear, it should really open up the possibilities. For example, I was easily able to hit 9k es in standard while wearing a Cospris Chest and Crown of Eyes (with no legacy gear or mirrored shit).

I just leveled today so should be hitting 70 and actually speccing into the build by tomorrow. Stun and status ailments haven't quite decided. I'm very comfortable with a Kiara's, but I might use as least a chayula or the new ring. If you're wondering about the life nodes its because a Life to Energy Shield Jewel wiill be used in that socket. As you can tell, it focuses mainly on single target as that is the #1 issue now that frost wall is gone. I will be using Cospris Chest to apply poison,

6Link Chest AoE: Kinetic Blast - GMP - Added Chaos - Void Manip - Slower Proj - Increase Crit Damage
What I would call the "staples" of this setup would be KB+GMP+Chaos+SlowerProj. As far as I'm concerned, and especially after the slight 10% Pierce nerf, slower proj is still one of the better Gems in the entire game. There's only a few sources of projectile More Multiplier and slower proj 29-30% More lands square in the middle. However, Physical Projectile Damage, which technically has a higher more multiplier comes with serious drawbacks: 10% less attack speed, and only buffs Physical. SJ on the other hand, buffs all types of projectile damage, Phys,Cold,Fire,Light,Chaos and even our applied poison since poison is applied with a projectile attack. This in my opinion makes it the strongest Ranged Attack gem. WED would be my number 2, but since SJ affects everything, it is my number 1, and the reason poison builds are so good. The one drawback is out projectiles travel slower to the target. this DOES NOT affect the range, but it could be the difference between say sparkers getting another cast off. Smart spacing and utilizing our range completely negates this.

NOT 100% PIERCE? SHIT BUILD:
100% pierce was only necessary for frost wall abuse. 99% of the time any pack of monsters 3 or more is simply gonna get obliterated. Our attack speed is plenty that we can just keep em on the ground without having to pierce each time. I'm still going to grab the passives because it would be nice and they give proj dmg. If anything "this is a buff," sorta, it will stop off-screen reflect deaths and missed loot filter noises.

Critical Damage Versus Faster Attacks:
The main thing that led to my decision, is the blue socket. Phys reflect could be an issue, but a physical-to-lightning support gem combined with Vaal Pact will make phys reflect maps completely safe.

Life Leech versus Crit Damage
Honestly, I'm not sure. Going to test this most definitely, and after being set on Crit Dmg I'm kinda leaning life leech and taking advantage of the leech meta, combined with our evasion this will make us incredibly tanky. I also thnk the gem would be plenty to run Phys Reflect instead of having to convert half our phys to lightning and take a penalty from void manip


Single Target Gems:

First off I should say, I chose to keep the 6link KB AoE because i honestly plan to use KB quite often even for single target still. Now that Bosses spawn in their own instance thing, this gives us two advantages. One, they often spawn in caves and any Boss near a wall can be obliterated just like before. Two, theres always a pack of monsters in there with him, simply engage the boss and mobs at the same time which provides defense from leech, and offense from overlapping AoE.

Delirium Gloves:
Frenzy - Added Chaos - Void Manip - faster attacks/slowerproj/crit dmg/point blank
Power Siphon- Added Chaos - Void Manip - Slower Proj
Barrage - Added CHaos - Void Manip - Point Blank
KB - Added Chaos - Void Manip - Conc effect (lol)

Anyway I'll be testing all these and willl report back.
