How do I "opt" in for beta?

Howdy yall. I didn't search the forums, decided to just be lazy and ask. Hey, at least I'm honest.

How does the beta key giveaway system work over here?

You see a timer at the frontpage ( http://www.pathofexile.com ), which tells you when and who will receive a beta key. Besides that there's a possibility for other people to invite you, as everyone who already has been invited will receive 1 extra keys within 14 days, so that they can invite someone else. :)

Altho you didnt really specify how the randomizer picks its next user? I assume only registered users, and maybe more likely with more posts o.o?

From what I've read your chance to be picked by the random timer is increased 10 times as soon as you've posted at least something on the forums.

Besides that I believe it's totally random who gets a key aye, as long as he's registered ofcourse. ^^

I'm keen to play this (or at least the beta)
Was a big fan of titan quest and I still play db2.
I just hope it doesn't follow suit with db3 and
have a never-ending closed beta with keys
so hard to attain.

i also wasnt sure how the randomization works but it's good to know that posting improves your chances

I think they should set it up to put people that log in for the day at the front of the line. Or maybe people who log in multiple times over the course of a few days. This way it filters people who make an account just for the beta and never return again.

Basically, as soon as you register you also opt in.

About the posting increasing your chances: I don't know about that, but I hope it does =P
