Hello there!
I need help to fix my bsods, it ONLY happens in path of exile! I've downloaded BlueScreenView and i have 5 dumps and they all say that it's ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+155429 fffff803`a3003000 fffff803`a3822000 0x0081f000 0x57dacaa7 2016-09-15 18:21:59 Microsoft® Windows® Operating System NT Kernel & System 10.0.14393.206 (rs1_release.160915-0644) Microsoft Corporation C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe I have no clue what it means and when i google it, well i don't get any wiser.. help me please, best regards Laiq Last bumped on Oct 7, 2016, 9:05:28 PM

Would you mind posting your DXdiag output to pastebin, and submitting a link to it here? Might be able to figure out the cause from your system details.
Something to try in the interim: The most common cause of PoE BSOD I've come across has been audio device related. I'd suggest adding '-swa' to your steam launch options / launcher shortcut. There is a guide on how to do this found HERE "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

Hello!
There you go " http://pastebin.com/9U0483aF " I've tried to reinstall poe and updating all drivers atm, also scanning for malware if it's something like that, that's causing the issues. I will try using "-swa" and see if that works better. Best Regards Laiq
Hello again,
I tried with "-swa" added. but i still get bsod, same error.
Are you getting any dumps in your minidump folder? ( c:\Windows\minidump )
If you do see any dump files, I would install a simple blue screen analyzer like bluescreen viewer ( it's free and tells you pretty clearly what caused it ) Let us know what it comes up with if you have any dump files... "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

Hi again, i did copy in my first post.
I saved the most recent one and put in pastebin also did CTRL-C on all i have in BlueScreenView. http://pastebin.com/qB9uanhZ
Sorry about that. You did indeed. Got caught up reading through your DXdiag info....and it's the end of the Friday for me.
Okay, so a couple things to try. First, disable engine multithreading option in the in game options menu. Then give it a test run. With your processor, you should still have decent performance with it off. If that fixes it, I would confirm CPU stability with programs like Prime 95. PoE may be generating problems that others don't because of the high cpu usage it now utilizes. If you get BSOD when running a stress test in Prime 95, then it could by a full load stability problem with system, which can be fixed ( most likely ) with a bit of tweaking. You may want to keep an eye on temps as well if you have a system monitoring software installed. POE can generate some crazy heat. Edit - clarified some things. "I would have listened... Hello,
When i disabled mutli-threading it has been working fine. But my CPU is stable, been doing realbench for 24hrs and no errors, haven't done prime95 because it says it's not that good for the latest i5's.
Well at least you can play stable!
I'd be a bit worried about those BSOD, but so long as you are satisfied, so am I. "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

For what it's worth, I've found Bluescreen Viewer often doesn't provide as much detail, as might be necessary, to identify the exact cause of the problem. In the case of kernel mode drivers errors, it often doesn't show which driver was responsible.
@OP You may also take a look at Analyzing a Kernel-Mode Dump File with WinDbg which should provide more options for troubleshooting. |
