Combat dummies in Hideouts
Had this idea for a while but I keeping it in my head aint doing much good :P
hideouts should have combat training dummies (scarecrows, wood posts, metal plates, suits of armor, generic npc human, whatever). How it could work: * There could be various levels/difficulties (level 30, 60, 80?) - or have it based on your random level +/- 10 (chosen on respawn) - or it could be based on the alternate skin options for HO items. skin 1=lv.10, 2=lv.20, ... 10=lv.100 * Multiple types: normal, reflect ele, reflect phys, high evasion, high def, ES * Give them 75 resist * A feature some people want in the game (but a lot don't) could be added: damage text - this would let people actually see their dps, where tooltip dps isn't an accurate thing (srs, rf, CoC, etc) or very hard to calculate - the damage text would only be visible on these dummies, in the HO. not on game creatures in maps/story - damage text could either: -- 1) add up all damage within the last second. Then reset on the next attack after that time -- 2) show the current + highest damage done to it. Rejoining the HO or editing the dummy resets it -- 3) show a bunch of floating/fading text above the head like most games. Possibly colored by damage type * upon killing a dummy, it respawns in 5 seconds (maybe 3?) * if a suit of armor is humanoid, randomized gear? Edit: vagan kind of already has this during the "kill more dummies than me" missions. A non-fighting respawning target. rawr. fear me.
