[Not a Bug] Scold's Bridle dmg taken system with spells does not work correctly

Flameblast is a channelling skill now. You cast it once (taking damage from Scolds), and continue channelling the same cast of the spell for as long as you hold down the button. You aren't casting 10 times, you're casting it once, and holding that one cast long enough to build up the spell through all 10 stages.

Scold's Bridle has always triggered on using a skill, but prior to the channelling system, it didn't need to specify that, as there was no other way to pay a mana cost.

After discussion with the designers, we'll be changing the functionality of Scold's Bridle so it's effect occurs any time you pay a mana cost.
