Imho, after dealing with this in the past on prior builds; you've got a failing drive. You're using an SSD, correct? If so, check the compatibility of the SSD with your mobo; there was a short window of time when compatibility of the two weren't in sync with hardware version releases. You may be able to update the firmward/drivers of either one to remedy this; however, as cheap as drives are I'd say either swap back to HDD if the two aren't compatible.

The only other things I can assimilate from this is that perhaps your CPU is failing; but, I'm more inclined to think drive. That is, of course, if you are using an SSD.

I am using an SSD. It's a samsung 850 EVO 250GB. I'll trying reinstalling the OS on the WD 1TB HDD and hopefully that will help, I mean, if it's only that it will be quite the relief as I'm thinking it could potentially be either the mainboard or CPU but I highly doubt that.

Thanks for the reply. I'll reinstall, yet again, and update.

Good luck..

By the way, the ones that weren't working for me on past builds.. Both Samsung Evo; one was 80gb the other 120. If memory serves :P

Thanks, hopefully it will help but I've lost most of my positive thinking and hope as of right now :P downloading PoE now. Fingers crossed.

Back from installing windows on the HDD...my god do you ever forget to appreciate how amazing an SSD is compared to HDD for booting and general use. This 1TB HDD is brand new yet is still like 5x slower than the SSD. Amazing.

Especially when freshly installing an OS.. Reboot after reboot; oh, and another reboot cuz you forgot to press apply on some shiz.

Edit: btw, if you like playing games as much as I do.. It's worth it to back-up the current content.ggpk for wtf ever reasons. Had to use my backed up copy to reinstall yesterday. Easier to start from 7gigs than 0bytes

I should definitely do that. If this doesn't end up working, I think I'll give windows 7 a go... seems lots of people have trouble with windows 10 so maybe that'll do something. Just gotta get my hands on an optical drive since usb doesn't work for some reason when installing 7.

No luck, guess it's not the SSD. Windows 7 install is next, if that doesn't help. Back to the store it goes for mainboard and CPU swaps. Uhg, fml.

Hey, probably last update for a bit. Still no progress. Fresh windows 7 install, fresh drivers, fresh PoE... Crash literally as soon as I open the client. Going to the store tomorrow to see how much it'll cost for them to swap out mobo and then cpu to see if that'll solve it. Fuck I swear if it's only the game thats' causing all this...
UPDATE: Received my PC back from the tech at the store. Every piece of hardware has been swapped and tested. Windows reinstalled. Game. Still. Crashes.

I honestly don't know what else I can possibly do. My computer is fine and happy with every other game so far. Guess it's time to call it quits on this game since I've been at this for about 4 weeks now with absolutely no results...which is a complete shame because it's one of my favorite games.

did they test it by running poe?

you won't get around swapping parts of the pc piece after piece.

hardware failures are the worst to debug, sorry.
