Righteous Fire DPS halp!!

So I really hate that RF doesnt have some kind of DPS tooltip. Im trying to tweak my build. THe build feels very weak in terms of DPS and im trying to fiquere out the best way to get more DPS. As im tweaking the only way that i can see whether or not i am gaining, losing or staying the same is by running the same tier maps and just seeing how fast i clear it.

Ive tried differnt builds and such but tbh no matter what i try icant seem to boost the dps good enough to feel like im making changes.

I am currently lvl 81 and i can only run t5-t7 maps. Occasionaly i still get 1 shot by something.

Anyways, the point is, is there a way to see the actualy damage of the RF build? Or maybe a reliable calculator so i can stop spending all these exalts for gear i may not need?

Any help is good help. Someone point me in the right direction plz. I really enjoy this build but it feels so weak and squishy....

THANK YOU!

It helps if you make your character info public when asking for build/gear help.

Anyways, an easy way to boost your damage is to use Orb of Storms linked to Increased critical strikes, Curse on hit, and Flammability.

You'll also want to have the Elemental Overload and Elemental Equillibrium keystones to gain a 40% more damage multiplier when you crit with orb of storms, and lower fire resist by 50%.

Other than that, just keep stacking life and fire/elemental damage. Doryani's catalyst is usually the best weapon in terms of elemental damage, and the Southbound gloves can give an extra 16% increased life with no downside to RF.
Well this league I got to level 92 in Hardcore essence using a RF juggernaut. It's certainly not weak or squishy. I had 9.1k life and over 62k dps (before EE).

My passive tree looked like this at level 91:

Additional levels I would have just picked up extra jewels.

This was my gear:

The rings were my primary source of life regen. With full endurance charges I would have over 20% life regen. The endurance charges are also a great source of damage mitigation.

I ran fortify and lgoh on my cyclone. Fortify helps a lot with tankiness and since most of my life regen is used to sustain RF the lgoh helps keep my life pool topped up.

I also used purity of fire and purity of lightning with empower. Potentially if I had more dex I would switch to running all 3 purities later on.
I Guess in my rant i lost the point of the forum and for that i apologize. i want to know mainly how to fiquere out my dps. I have a lvl 90 warchief totem scion that on the tooltip it says 129k dps per totem x4....that is easy to fiquere that i do alot of damage.

but with the RF build there is nothing. This makes it really hard too know where i stand compared to my other build. I would like for me RF build to get to that kind of dmage because i like the build better.

here is my URL link to my character: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/post-reply/1741789

Maybe after you look at it you can offer some advice in pumpin up the damage and survivablity?

THanks!!

You should show us a link of your actual skill tree as it is right now.. not your planned level 100 skill tree. The one you've linked shows all passive points spent - meaning no room left for bandits.. surely as a life based char you should be taking oak in normal at the very least? And using endurance charges, oak in merci as well.

There are also a few weird things in your passive tree..

Why are you taking the passive nodes for totems (the ones below scion), when you aren't using totems?

Why are you taking phys damage nodes when you are primarily not a phys damage build?

The 3 point jewel doesn't seem efficient either unless you're using something like the grand spectrum..

Your life regen seems quite low. You skip a 0.8% life recovery node, and also the quick recovery cluster.

Also why are you scion? I know that some people like to use scion for RF but I really can't understand why. At least chieftan has a great life regen ascendancy (0.5% per endurance charge) but what does scion have? Juggernaut is obviously my choice just because of the tankiness - and it actually gives more damage than chieftan does.

The main problem with your damage is that you are using increased burning damage instead of conc effect.. and you aren't using a helmet with 30% more elemental damage from socketed gems. The combination of the two would double your damage, you'd just lose a bit of aoe. I know that might not feel good but I really think you should try it out. You have to move around a bit more, but does that really matter? It's not like you're applying EE to everything within your large aoe anyway.

I also don't know about EO. You aren't getting accuracy from anything, and the only crit chance you're getting is from the gem.. so you have like 12-13% chance to crit? and thats if you hit, since accuracy gets checked twice with crits, low accuracy is going to tear that 12-13% down a lot.

im so sorry i dont know what i was smoking this morning. I was trying to go by memory and i put in on eo fmy other builds.

this is my current skill build path for the build in question.

I love the idea about the bone helmet with the 30% more damage. Im going to look for that now. What i am confused about is the burning damage vs the conc effect damage...i thought you do area of effect for map clears then switch out for conc effect for bosses...?
There's a bug report that says the 30% more elemental damage mod doesn't work with RF. Does it actually work for you, Muldeh?

I've made these changes but i keep dying and my damage is garbage.

I'm not sure what to do. i die almost every map from t4-t7...antying higher than t7 is a gaurenteed death. I have a lvl 90 scion warchief build that has 129k damage per totem x4 totems. I know how to play, move around and play defensive as well as offensive. With this build i die to almost every boss or in most cases start the fight, take a huge hit, realize i cant fight it without dying and just leave it. This build seems very fun to me but 2 steps forward 1 step back isnt working for me. Any help would be appreciated. But it hink scion is the wrong way to go for this build. The damage is terrible and the fact i have to get close and im so squishy isnt fun at all.

Thanks!
