Hide Characters tab

when i go to privacy settings and deselect "Hide Characters tab" and click on update nothing happens,
setting is not saved, ther page refreshes and the option goes back to being checked Last bumped on Sep 14, 2017, 9:34:05 AM

There have been a few posts about this popping up the last few days.
What Browser nd OS do you use? Anything else that you can think of that might be useful? Have you tried clearing your cache etc? Edit: Just talked to support. They are aware of the issue and are looking into it. No fix as yet, but posting the browser and OS info may be useful for them. You can uncheck the Characters tab by checking something else (Badges tab for example), uncheck Characters tab and hit update. The Charaters will become unchecked after that (with Badges being checked). The script just for whatever reason needs to have one item always checked.

I have the same problem, and tried the trick with checking other tab. didn't work. plz help!
