Missing my folder in "My Games"

Hey,
I've been searching and trying to fix this since couple hours, I couldn't find an answer til now. So, I've reinstalled it on steam and installed it normal over the regular launcher, even with Administrator rights it won't install the folder. Thanks

if you want to use the steam and standalone version at the same time you have to contact ggg support (support@grindinggear.com) so they attach your steam's email address to the standalone version.

which one you're looking for, the steam or standalone install folder?

I'd like to find the "My Games" folder of the standalone version, for a lootfilter etc.

At the risk of sounding incredibly silly... have you tried logging in?

I'm looking at my folder and I see a folder called DailyDealCache, a Message of the Day Cache... this all looks like stuff the game would pull from the server when you log in to play. I'm not sure if it is created as part of the install process, because it may not 'know' any of the information it wants to cache then. Folders are usually only created when software is attempting to use them.

If logging in doesn't result in the folder being created, have you tried creating it yourself and storing a loot filter file there? The folder name is Path of Exile. Spaces, not underscores.

if you start the standalone version of the game i think you can open the game's options/ui scroll down to the filter selection and click on the "open folder" button.

i'm not not able to access the game right now, but if this opens a explorer view it should tell you where the game looks for your filter file

There isn't a "open folder" option on the options/Ui ingame And on the different loot filter guides the "Open Folder" option only appears after putting the Lootfilter into the folder.

Still didn't found a fix.

totally forgot about your thread. can't you make a global search on your harddisks for "exile"?

it should return two folders, one for the game installation files and one for the configuration.
