Bandwidth Allocation For POE

Hello All,
I recently moved to the country and am working with much more restrictive internet than I'm used to. To allow me to play POE (and let the kids watch Netflix) I'm having to adjust bandwidth allocations for different devices. My question is this: How much no-BS Bandwidth is required for POE to run smoothly? I'm a Network Design Engineer so please don't throw out huge over-exaggerated numbers -- there's really not that much client/server interaction taking place. Appreciate any assistance! Actually the bitrate of the client doesn't seem that high, in my experience. I rarely see it go past 1Mbps. On the upload it doesn't usually surpass 500Kbps. I might suggest a bit of a buffer on that. But in the end, it's more about having a steady stream of data than a huge amount of speed. If you reserve yourself about 700Kbps up, and 2.5Mbps down ( which is quite a modest value on both sides, considering most people have in excess of 10Mbps down and 2-3Mbps up ) You should be fine, in my view.
