Inventory expansion?

To be specific, not talking about stash inventory (there's tabs for that)

Talking about character inventory. Dont you think it's about time you let exiles carry a satchel or backpack, or SOMEthing to boost our loot-hauling ability? Dosnt have to be overboard..maybe + 1/2 current inventory size as a non-visible backpack or set of pouches? (wouldnt want to interfere w/ people's mtx's, naturally)

-Zombie#1- "That guy has passed right over us 3 times now..shouldnt we be popping out to attack?"
-Zombie#2- "No way, you saw what he did to our friends. Lets just stay down here where its safe.
Besides, you heard how angry he is..keeps shouting something about needing the last 2 to clear.."

I would like to see something extra that only allows for 1x1 items.
No, I don't think so. I already find it weird that I can carry 6 heavy armors and 6 helmets in my backpack.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

True, but this universe is not based on our reality, and thus.. maybe they have less gravity.. maybe they are 10 times as strong as us... who knows lol...

I would welcome an inventory overhaul as well

GGG pretty much carefully balanced our pack size long ago. Hence why it is never changed. You get plenty of space to bring back only what you have deemed as essential to take from 6 map portals.

If you need more room you are doing it wrong by GGG's standards.

While I agree, I think many aspects of the game has changed in terms of needing to carry more things. Almost everyone needs to carry:

ID scrolls
portal scrolls
alts
trans
augs

Depending on the map:
alchs
chaos
scour

Mapping in PoE, pre various expansions\leagues only really required ID scrolls and portals. I firmly recall leaving the rest of that shit in my stash in town, instead of carrying it around.

Now this league you need to carry the corrupting essence as well, the others aren't required to carry around but do take up additional space.

Not my picture but something like this would help a lot I think (in terms of organization) and IRRC GGG wasn't specifically opposed to it.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
Agree with OP. (made a similar post a year+ ago). This inventory space was designed before strongboxes and all the other dynamic stuff that is now happening on regular basis. Zana opening maps with unknown mods (eg: ele. weakness - need gems / flasks to deal with it).

Inventory is outdated.

My usual inv looks like this:

2 columns always occupied by orbs, swap gems & swap flasks.
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness

To be fair you should be able to be ele weakness capped regularly, without adjustment IMO.

Go play Drakensang Online if you want stash tabs in your inventory

Emphasis mine. Therein lies the problem - It was balanced long ago. With Atlas of Worlds and Essence League we now have so, so much more crap to take up inventory space, namely the essences themselves. Divination cards are also a common culprit for stealthily eating inventory room that we didn't have long ago. It's not uncommon for me to portal back to town after a session of running about murder-hoboing and find out I'm carrying, say...

Wisdom scrolls (Always)
Portal scrolls (Always)
Silver Coins
Orbs of Transmutation
Orbs of Alteration
Orbs of Augmentation
Orbs of Alchemy
Chaos Orb
Jeweler's Orbs
Orbs of Fusing
Chromatic Orbs
Orbs of Chance
Blacksmith's Whetstones
Armorer's Scraps
Cartographer's Chisels
Some type of rarer orb (Regret, Scouring, Vaal, etc)
3 different Wailing Essences
4 different Weeping Essences
2 different Muttering Essences
1 Whispering Essence
A Remnant of Corruption
2 maps
4 different divination cards
A Sacrifice fragment I picked up somewhere

That's... 34 of my 60 inventory slots. Over half of my inventory space being used by 1x1 items, 10 of which were introduced in this league alone. Now, I don't have a huge problem with this (though it does get irritating) but I've heard a lot of complaints about inventory space this league, and it's probably the essences that're doing it. Consider there are 24 types of essences and 5 tiers of each essence that potentially drop, and that's a lot of inventory space for the would-be essence hunter.
