"An unexpected disconnection occurred"

Hi, I've been playing and dealing with this error since Ascendancy patch came out and it's happening more frequently now. There are some instances in which I ALWAYS crash, like towns, lab instances (ex: domain path; i did 2 runs on merciless lab and crash on the same instance), dried lake, imperial gardens, etc. It's really annoying when you try to do uber labs or zana's mission with 1 portal. I tried to run game with everysingle option like; UI with lockstep , low settings, windowed screen, lowest resolution, etc.

A DXDiag report would help. What's the error messages you get when you crash? What's the content of the PoE client's log file after a crash?

Thank you for the fast response! There isn't a pop-up window, when I enter the instance sometimes it's let me move around like 2-3 seconds and logged me out, and other times show me a frozen screen standing on the new instance and logged me out aswell. The only message is "An unexpected disconnection occurred" in the log in screen. But when I log in and enter that instance for the second time, loads really fast with no problems at all.

" Looks like you have a Sony VAIO laptop and running on built-in Intel graphics. Plenty of memory. Even though this system would struggle to play PoE smoothly (thanks to non-discrete GPU), I don't see anything that would cause issues for disconnects. Looks good. Next you'll want to run WinMTR and do a trace route to see if your Internet connection is causing the disconnects. " There's nothing in the traceroute that is obviously wrong. My two cents: 1. If you use any kind of anti-maleware application, make sure it's not interfering with the PoE executable in some bizarre way. 2. If you're on WiFi, switch to hard wired and do some tests. 3. If you can pinpoint exactly where and under which circumstances this happens, make sure the disconnection is reproducible, collect the data and email GGG with as much information as you can. |

Sadly, looks like we're running out of possible soulitions.
1. I only have avast running when I'm playing poe, is it count? 2. I'm already playing on hard wired connection. 3. I already said when it happens on my first post, The Docks (always), Imperial gardens (sometimes), Some instances on lab (i can't say which one, cause it changes everyday) and circumstances,look's like problem happens in every circumstances, any hour, using YT or running another programs on the background, with or without being in party, any difficulty on the game. But to be clear, this only happens once, when I got kicked out to the log in screen, game can load instances really quick and normally again even the instance that cause the problem. " Yes, Avast counts. Make sure you make POE a white listed program. Go to settings and then scroll down the exclusions. Add pathofexile.exe to that. On that note: If you are using any firewall program, make sure and have POE allowed/white listed within that as well. Are you using any of the command line parameters at all? The one I would suggest would be --noasync. Take a look at this vid: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1708380, and just substitute that command for the multi-threading one. Your load time is going to be a bit longer, but it is going to preload everything then and it may fix your problem.
