Shaper Orb Questions.

You can farm infinite orbs by running the map with a different character. The orb is character locked so if you put a t10 orb in character A's work bench then character B won't be able to see it.

Wow, really? Is that a bug or a feature?

Aha, so even though the atlas is shared by characters in the same league, the "shapings" aren't shared?

If I shape Jungle Valley on character A, will it be shaped for character B in the same league?

Probably a bug, atlas is so buggy right now.

completing a purple map is just a chance of a shaper dropping or guaranteed? Ive got the quant bonus on a few purple ring aps without an orb dropping. Is that intended?

I assume it's guaranteed since it's a "quest" item. Correct?

Yup, I agree. Should have been Shaper's Chisel or something so as not to confuse it with unlimited currency. There are no orbs I know of that are limited in number aside from these Shaper's Orbs.

It has been stated by GGG that map drops roll their tier, before picking the map drop from a list of eligible maps of that tier (based on Atlas adjacancy and the player's unlocked maps).

My question:
When I have a shaped tier 1 map (which will now be tier 1 + 5 = 6), does that map count as tier 1 or tier 6 for the purpose of the tier roll?

Or to phrase it differently, does a shaped tier 1 map increase the average tier of your map drops (in which case it counts as tier 1 for the tier roll) or does it crowd out my other tier 6 maps by increasing my pool of eligible tier 6 map drops by 1?

The answer to this question is quite important for Atlas shaping strategy.

The shaped map is completely irrelevant for the tier roll as it only rolls which tier a random map drop will be.

Example:
Desert Map is unshaped -> Every time a T1 Map drops, there is a chance for it to be Desert Map.
Desert Map is shaped -> Every time a T6 Map drops, there is a chance for it to be Shaped Desert Map.

In other words: Shaping doesn't affect the map drop rate at all. ;)

Doesn't seem to work right, shaped Beach, corrupted a Cartographers Strongbox and it dropped a corrupted tier 2 Beach. I assume that is down to corruption, they should state that it doesn't apply to corrupted maps. Or is it just bugged?

Try completing the T4 map before you shape it.
