Why is lightning tendrils not channeled?

Seems like it should be. Just an oversight?

Was explained on a state of exile that they tried many approaches to make it channeled but it simply does not work based on how they wanted the skill to be. So they settled on what it is now.

Skill sucks anyway. Requires too much investment and still remains subpar.

Standing still and spamming a lock down melee attack gets you killed. Why play the mage version of locking yourself in place up close and deep throating that sweet death.

This is how lighting tendrils should have been gfx wise but blue...



In all seriousness though i suggested a mechanics change a while back. That is to be able to rotate the player while channeling or casting instead of getting locked in place unidirectional. If felt really clunky to use.

It should be like incinerate in terms of casting mechanics. Just with out the damage stage bonus, but perhaps a cast speed and range increase bonus each time you hold it down. Maybe add 5 stages perhaps?
