I would switch out LMP for slower projectiles.

I will also start with a crit ice spear inquisitor (EB/MOM/ZO) and using one Snakepit ring. Planned links:

Ice spear - LMP - Echo - Controlled destruction - Pierce - Faster casting/Increased crit dmg (which one would be better?)

I did an Ice Spear build a long time ago, the two biggest problems are single target and reflect.

You really don't want to have to swap gems around every time you need single target damage, it seriously kills the fun factor.

I ended up having a separate 4 link for single target, with Faster Casting to freezelock, it worked OK but the damage was not great. Maybe the 70% buff will fix that.

for single target you may either swap gems (lmp/gmp) for slower proj as suggested by 7thSlap

Or run a single target setup as suggested by Trentemoller (this is what I usually do).
To get the max out of that 4L i would run:

Ice spear - echo/FC - controlled destruction - increase crit damage

this should give you a lot of damage, especially if you would keep your distance to hit the bosses with the second stage of ice spear (600% crit chance).
Of course cursing mobs with assassins mark will help as well to get the crit hits really do some damage
