New league start up question

So, on August 2 at about 2:00 PM my time the new league begins. How will they roll out the new version? Will it be a first come first served madhouse or will they work their way through the various servers?

Any estimates on how long a wait for an individual install will take, including waiting in line?

Will the game be unstable during the roll out?

The servers will go down a few hours before the launch. You'll be able to patch before the launch (usually an hour in advance off the top of my head, but maybe more). There will be a login queue initially of course, but the servers usually go up a little while in advance so the queue will be cleared before the new leagues even start. There is only one set of servers so there are no differences to any of this based on location except for the exact timing of various gateways coming up (IIRC the only time this has ever mattered at all has been 2.0).

Hard to say for certain, but probably pretty reasonable. PoE seems to be well set up to cope with large spikes in players, any server problems are generally due to much more random reasons.
