elemental damage need help badly

ive never posted in this forum and i havent played in a long time so im a little lost and my skills reset so im wondering if standard elemental damage apply to weapon elemental damage because i used to be a lightning class in the past and would like to again but i dont remember if all elemental damage apply to my storm bow, and another question as shadow should i stay with my lightning bow class or start using dagger with lightning, and yea im stuck at resetting skills screen until question is answered lol

Generic elemental (or lightning) damage nodes apply to spells as well as weapons. Passives that only apply to weapons (like arcing blows) explicitly mention that.

I recommend sticking to an elemental bow build if you want to use an elemental based attack build. Elemental dagger will probably suck. Elemental buzzsaw ain't that good anymore and most attack skills, dagger passives and dagger uniques a designed for physical damage.
