Looking for advice for end-game build

I am currently contemplating between Templar/inquisitor and Mara/chieftain for flame totem build and I can't decide which way to go. I'd like to have a flame totem build as it seems powerful and capable of doing end-game stuff and also relatively cheap/easy to start a new temp league with. Hoping to do uber lab/Atziri with it and tackle T16/Shaper as well down the line.
Templar seems more powerful and more manageable in the sub 70 levels (more dmg) but chieftain seems to be the better end-game survivor with totem taunt and leech ascendancies. The part that really wants me to try Templar is that I never played that char and he has a cool voice acting.

I'm thinking about doing this tree route. Have played chief totem before, but not crit based, and want to try that in new league as well.
