Some clarification on cartographer sextant

Okay,so you put that on a map,and it gets 5 uses,my question is,do these uses still count if you don't complete the enhanced map but only the affected ones in the circle?

I would assume doing any map affected by the sextant counts against its uses. Otherwise you could just put it on a map and never run that map to get infinite uses on the other affected maps.

Yep,now when i think of it,it sounds OP,just saw ZiggyD video,and indeed the uses still count.
