Duelist tips to defeat Merveil?

Hi,
I'm playing an 18 lvl Duelist (focus on Cleave/Double Wield). Any tips on how to beat Merveil? To this point, I felt the game was almost too easy -- killed Brutus almost without a scratch and had no big problem winning any combat up until now. And it's not just that it seems difficult, I get killed before I give her any proper damage at all. What I've learned is I need Cold Resistance so I got myself two Sapphire Rings. Also, because a part of the problem is lagging, I've lowered the graphics of the game as much as possible. Any other thoughts before I give it another try? I think it is because you are melee? I'm pretty bad at the game too but I always have a flame totem ready for the bosses. Just put one near the boss and try to stay alive :)

Go to town and buy Ancestral protector + fire damage from Nessa, link it and trow it to Merveil, you don't need to fight her...

" Grab one cold resist ring, a decoy totem skill and dual strike skill. All this is sold from Nessa in town. Place totem on the opposite side of Merv and smack her with dual strike. If it still doesnt work, post your gear When night falls

Yea, you need start using a dedicated single-target skill as well, which typically deal more damage than aoe skills. Also try augmenting your skills with support gems as you progress further in the game. The added fire damage support should be at your disposal by the time you reach merveil. Nessa sells gems on her second trading tab.
