Shared Lab progress?

Hi,

I took a break before ascendancy and just got back into the game a few days ago. I spent the last few days getting one of my characters all the 8 ascendancy skill points. Now, how do I get the 8 points for my other characters? I heard the lab progress is shared. So for my other lvl 80-90 characters, can I just visit any lab like the one in a3n, choose a class and get all 8 skill points? or do I have to do the uber one to get all 8 points?

Lab completion is not shared. There are two things you might be thinking of instead:

- Trial completion is shared between characters in the same league

- Characters made before patch 2.2 were granted ascendancy points for each difficulty they had already beaten. You still need to complete the lab to ascend and claim them, and no points were granted for the endgame lab. So for example, if you have a character that already killed merciless Malachai before the release of 2.2, doing the endgame lab would instantly fine you 8 ascendancy points and doing any other lab would still let you claim the 6 points you've already been granted.

More specifically, you need to complete the labyrinth to choose your ascendancy class (even scions). You already have the points I think but without an ascendancy class you have nowhere to put them.

Or if you have a character that already killed merciless Dominus before the release of 2.0, or killed merciless Piety before the release of 1.0. Whatever counted as completing merciless at the time.
