Repentance vs Doedre's Tenure

If we consider Repentance with 10% reduced spell damage and Doedre's Tenure 50% increased spell damage.
Cast speed doesn't matter neither energy shield. Which one is actually better? With 300 strength. Last bumped on Aug 5, 2016, 6:25:43 PM

" You should be able to do the math. 300 strength comes out to 60% spell damage. After the 10% penalty, same as Doedre's. However, you have to consider two things: 1. Repentance can increase in value as you add strength. 2. Repentance is a higher level item, so its armor and ES can be important. Despite being lower values, they still add up. Doedre's is simply cheaper. |

With Doedre's you can also use the Iron Will gem if you like.
Also you should consider socket colours. I would say definitely go with repentance though, unless you don't cast anything at all (curse, movement spell, golem, tempest shield, auras, etc...), the 20% cast speed reduction is pretty noticeable. In this case, yeah. In case of 1500 Str, Repentance is kinda better. :V

Yeah, I got a good pair back in Pandarius for 10c but if you want to go under 5% reduced spell damage these days it's 30-40c in prophecy, not a huge bargain but still many times cheaper than in std. I suppose the cheapest option would be getting them in HC temp but it's too late for that now, HC prophecy is fairly inactive at the moment.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
