VISUAL LOOT FILTER LIST - The Choice is Yours 1/25/2016

There is already a thread with listed item filters:

This thread is not needed.

Ps. Even your filters are on the list. Even more so: you posted there - 2 days ago. Why the spam?

I like the idea of visual comparison of filters, well done! The methodology could be improved a bit to be more useful, though.

1. To be consistent it's best to clear the space before screenshotting and then to dump the "standard" set of items there. In the current screenshots there are often some extra items and even some changes in standard ones which makes comparing filters more difficult. A default picture (without a filter) would be useful to see what gets filtered out.

2. One kind of background for every filter is great for consistency, but it's fairly difficult to infer readability issues in a well-lit map based on the Volcano shot. This could be solved by recording videos in a different map (Desert? something similar, bright and shiny) or by providing two shots.

3. Videos need to show a similar kind of gameplay for each filter - opening boxes of different types in some, killing packs in others is problematic. It's also inconsistent to be standing in place in some videos and moving in others. Also, during 30 seconds with "normal" build it's difficult to get enough drops to check sounds properly. This could be solved with standardizing on a character with high IIQ/IIR and not too noisy killing method (caustic arrow?). Also, going to a lower-tier map for the videos would help a lot with map availability, so you can do longer/multiple runs and cut a representative 30 second from them where drops are good.

4. Should you be picking items up in the videos? Probably a short run with filter on, killing packs, then press Alt and run back for comparison? Or just don't show the "raw" loot, only run with filter on, as 30 seconds are pretty short.

Good luck in your effort, it's not going to be easy, but you're doing a great job for the community!
Nice job! This should be a sticky thread in this forum.
I love the idea of Loot Filters list, mention when they were updated and you even made short video to showcase all of them. Great job! After checking this thread, I will finally make a distinct difference between 1 chaos-tier and 0.3+ chaos-tier currency using Pastels Loot Filter colours - http://imgur.com/zEaTphg .

I have some suggestions as well. There is one very, very important thing missing - listing actual distinctions between different loot filters. Like for example - some include levelling, some have tier-lists, some hide one currency and some hide another currency. It is really important when choosing your loot filter. At least listing major features would be great.

About videos. It would be so much better if you just drop all different kind of drops by yourself. Exalt-tier currency, uniques, low-tier currency, rare items, chromatic items, chancing bases - everything that matters.

It's a matter of pure preference but I would change thread's name to Loot Filters List^
And I thought my own filter was but ugly until I saw those.

This just proves to me how good NeverSink's lootfilter is.
