Okay, since the participation came to a halt and keyvOne did not share how he got to the solution I will do it. I knew from the beginning that the riddle was very hard and basically impossible to solve if you don't have a certain peice of imformation. This piece of information can be found on the notice board in Act 2, 3 and 4.

 The text is german and says 'Brutus Boss run, Axiom Prison, five minutes past half three, participants: XvXReaperXvX, Fritz, Otto, Karl, Uwe, Christopher, Max' keyvOne concluded that the answer to the second riddle (When will he hear the executioner's call?) is 14:35. The answer to the first poem would therefor be XvXReaperXvX. Let me explain my train of thought when creating the poem. Exiled for his crimes to a foreign land Beginning his path on a twilighted strand. As most of you have correctly guessed this stanza implies that the story is about a character that has been exiled to Wraeclast. The tricky thing here was to realize that the poem is not about a NPC, so not a character that we interact with in any form, but an actual community member. My hopes were that people would realize this because of the lack of other information given by the poem. It is indeed like most of you said, the poem could be about so many NPCs that it's kinda pointless to spend any thought on it. Following this logic one could come to the conclusion that it therefor cannot be a NPC. Seeking rewards for him to survive Now sentenced again to pay with his life. The first line is this stanza hints that the character seeks rewards by killing enemies. The next line trys to specify this. 'Now sentenced again to pay with his life' is a reference to Brutus voice line 'The crime is trespassing, the sentence is death'. So at this point I wanted to let people know that they're looking for a player that kills Brutus for rewards. Seeking rewards also implies that the character is doing the Brutus kill over and over again, hence the 'Boss run'. First to fight, not ready to fall First to hear the executioner's call. And here's the next tricky part. People should by now have realized that they're looking for a player that does Brutus Boss runs. At this point you need the piece of information you find on the noticeboard. 'First to fight' implies that we're looking for the first player that put is name on the list. The executioner's call again is a reference to Brutus' voice line. I realized way to late that the amount of people who were actually able to solve the riddle is incredibly low. I really thought there would be more player who'd knew about this little easteregg. It is also the only time where the name of a comunity member is integrated into the game (besides unique items). So I fully understand the increasing frustration that came up as the time past and I apologize for it. Trying to give hints that actually brings the train of thought into the right direction was the hardest part. When I told you that the answer is not a NPC I thought that it would be very clear that the poem is about a player. Little did I know because now it seems that this hint resulted in more confusion and discussion than the poem itself. As I told you on day one I'm neither experienced in creating riddles nor in writing poems. So again I want to apologize to the participants who feel that I've wasted their time. I really hope that there are one or two people who actually enjoyed putting a few thoughts in this. I certainly enjoyed the process of creating the riddle and watching your line of thoughts. That was a fine riddle, although I put my self out of the running by assuming the riddle wouldn't require familiarity with a different language to solve.

A little more arbitrary than I'd prefer but I know this was just for fun, grats kevyOne!
Edit: Might as well offer some constructive criticism. - Shouldn't just present a poem and say it's a riddle, that's like saying 'guess what I'm thinking'. This allows for far too many possibilities to consider. - You were correct in offering hints to the riddle but they were too vague. The hints should have conditions that when met direct the player closer to the solution. Having hints that are too vague will result in the player solving the conditions of the hint but not bring them closer to the answer which defeats the purpose of the hint. - example - use a hint that when solved instead of excluding one of four acts directs them to the appropriate act - And finally there needs to be a mechanism in place for the player to determine if they're on the right track or are wrong. This makes the riddle experience feel less arbitrary and related to a lucky guess, makes the result feel more objective. - example - You could have put in some crossword puzzle like empty square boxes equivalent to the number of letters in the answer and have one or two letters filled in so they have something to judge their guess against.
