it isn't. it's not dual wield and has horrible physical scaling.

Dual wield bonuses are

10% more attack speed
15% block chance
20% More physical attack damage while dual wielding

on top of the block/spell block its pretty uncomparable. You would have high flat chaos damage with edge of madness, but remember poison scales off both Chaos & physical damage.

How did you lvled? Early levls like your other build (Essence Drain) were so helpfull :P

I know you ditched Hiltless and went RT but do you have a clip of you clearing with it? I'm considering doing this, always been a fan of crit 2h swords. Lacerate looks fun as well

Hey, I'm no Hegemony, but leveling this build is very easy. Just grab whatever the two handed leveling weapon is at your level and go nuts with groundslam, cleave, or eventually lacerate. Putting in fortify as soon as you can will ensure survival. I ended cruel and realized that I both had negative resists AND had no deaths. Not something you would want to try in HC but honestly, its pretty hard to die with a build like this. A tabula rasa with the skill, faster attacks, multistrike, fortify, melee phys and life leech should keep you alive well past when you can use a real 5 or 6 link chest. Feel free to slot in a jewel with some mana leech on it for leveling. If you can find a good one with dmg on it as well keep it around for as long as you like.

That was my strat and it was pretty great for leveling through farming uberlab.

I started doing this build a few days back and decided that I really don't like cleave. The relative safety of Lacerate can really bite your ass when you have to get closer to cleave. I'm lvl 69 ATM with a life pool of 3,5k so going to melee range can sometimes be very dangerous.

So I opted out from cleave but I wanted to have an AOE tagged skill. So I'm using Ancestral Warchief linked with Melee phys, Faster Attacks, Conc. Effect and Bloodlust as I can Lacerate bosses to get those Poison Stacks and Bleed from Voidheart. Buffed Tooltip reads 29k for Ancestral but that doesn't take into account that Bloodlust damage (I think) which adds something like 14-15k damage to it if my approx maths are correct. Buffed fivelink Lacerate (without inc. AOE and added chaos, I'm using Added Fire) is about 20k, Clearing with it seems decent for now and being able to Lacerate a boss with about 65k combined DPS with AW pounding away is an awesome way to make the build a bit safer without having it feel clunky. I haven't run Merc. lab yet so considering that I think my damage is more than enough for now.

As a side note, the damage will go up as soon as I bother to get some INT to switch to Blasphemy-Vulnerability from Hatred. I don't have the numbers but the Physical+poison double dip scaling from Vulnerability should be far better than the initial Cold damage hit from Hatred. That'll also free up 15% of reserved mana to add Arctic Armor into the mix. But as people have been pondering about levelling I have to state the obvious and say that Hatred is awesome for leveling this.
