does a trap in a mine get affected by mine damage?

If I link a trap skill up to 'remote mine', will it be affected by the 'more mine damage' modifier on the remote mine support gem?

I don't think so. When the mine goes off, it creates a trap but does no damage itself. The trap is a separate entity and, as you say, is not a mine, so is not affected by mine damage.

It doesn't anymore. If you link both, you will lay a mine that creates a trap when detonated. The mine's action is to create the trap, the mine doesn't deal damage, so mine damage won't apply.

It used to, but that was changed a long time ago. Charan had a pretty infamous blowup over it.
