Poachers Marks Not generating frenzy charges

Using curse on hit chain split arrow and poachers mark to curse and for damage Siege Ballista, LMP, FA & WED and when running an entire dried lake on merciless i will very rarely generate charges (say one charge from 100 mobs ) and usually wont be able to keep the charge/s up.

It's because your Siege Ballistas are getting the kills. They are for all intents and purposes, totems. Totems can have a max of 0 Frenzy charges, same with Power charges as they would have no effect on the totem.

but then how when no other skill i have can do damage am i still getting frenzy charges?
If you are only getting one in a blue moon, then it is most likely from your split arrow getting in a lucky shot somewhere.

Edit: And what Mark said below :)

There is a bug that credits kills to the player when a totem ortrap/mine kills something with damage over time. If the totem is gone when the monster dies, the credit has to go somewhere so it goes to the player.

Just use "Frenzy" skill.
It doesn't require to do damage, gives frenzy charge on hit.
