Yeah - Diablo 3 is making me worry about Blizzard. First they chop up star craft 2 - now they are removing stuff from Diablo 3. They removed stuff from WoW that was on the box (dance studio). Looking for a new company to love, blizzard is losing me.

I am a HUGE Diablo fan, always have been, always will be.

But, I am very much so digging on this game, POE looks really nice so far.

And F2P, FFS, why wouldent you at least try it out? (when both titles are fully released)

Hey, I hear theres a Torchlight 2 coming out this year too! Im all over that as well!

I dont get why people have to "take a side", seems silly.

Sure, D3 will get top billing (also full retail game)

POE and TL2 are reduced cost, or itemized cost. (alot less then a full retail game)

Why does everythig have to be a cometition. I see poe and d3 more like minecraft and terraria. Both have a solid fanbase and noone is saying the other game is better. I personally will play both and love them both. Once i get to play them...

I disagree with your assesment of Diablo 3, but would ask you this;

Blizzard has never made a bad game.

Let me qualify that, personal taste is personal taste, I get that, and respect it. But every Blizzard game ever made has done all of the following:

#1 Top reviews, universally.
#2 Spectacular sales, top of the PC chart.
#3 Have extremely active community's.
#4 Last/are played for far longer, then any competitors game.

Take a look at those 4 statements, these are NOT opinions, these are simple, verifiable FACTS. While I certainly wont argue your opinion, wouldent it seem at least a bit prudent knowing the stated above that we should just let Blizzard do what they do? It has never failed them before.

But, I should not carry on about this, this is POE's forum.

And I do not wish to belittle this also, great looking title.

theres definitely some things to keep in mind as well, this game seems like it will appeal to the old school ARPG players a lot, and i know a lot of older gamers arent very happy with what diablo 3 is doing (though personally i'm excited as hell with it)

also, blizzard games tend to have the worst gaming community out of anywhere on the internet, and "smaller" games such as this tend to have a much closer knit community, and infinitely more friendly.

I'm absolutely astonished that this thread didn't turn into a meme-blast from the start. I'm also disappointed.

Im the "older" or "old school".

The age of my schooling is dusty.

(33 years to be exact)

Most of the old crowd knows to wait for Blizz games. Now get off my lawn!
