My opinion boils down to: D3 = character resources decided ahead of time for me. (no stat decision, all skills granted on reaching appropriate levels) PoE = full freedom to build my character how I best want it. I don't like feeling like I'm being hand held when I play video games. I want tough decisions, knowing that I could theoretically screw up my character if I don't plan accordingly. Now I am well aware that there's LOTS of people who feel differently. Hence for this reason alone, they'll prefer D3. Nothing wrong with that.
