Emperor Izaro's voice acting
I just got to the Trial of Lingering Pain, and I have to say that I was really impressed by Emperor Izaro's voice acting of the Bronze Monograph at the entrance of the trial. A harmonious, deep, booming voice that communicates wisdom and authority. Now that's what I call good acting.
The thing is, I had played the puzzle game "The Talos Principle" a few months back, in which a voice from the sky identifying as God narrates your adventure, and boy, the voice actor sounds godly from beginning to end. The similarity in tone and style with Emperor Izaro's voice is amazing. Did anybody, by any chance, play that game and felt the same? I've been trying to check if they are the same person, but I can't seem to find the credits for the ascendancy version anywhere, and I'm a long shot from finishing the game myself. Any help, veterans? Last bumped on Jun 17, 2016, 4:50:24 AM

Michael Hurst was the voice actor for Izaro. You may know him from Hercules (or plenty of other things!). I'm not sure if he worked on another game, though.

Thanks a lot!
Turns out he didn't do "The Talos Principle" :P Damn, I was so sure... |

I thought the same thing when I first heard him in Ascendancy.

There's only one thing he says that really annoys me when doing lab runs. He sometimes say's "Misery loves company I SUPPOSE".
Well it may be just me but someone of IZARO'S stature, saying something like 'I suppose' dosn't quite sound right. It assumes he's not confident in what he's saying & someone of his magnificent stature wouldn't reflect on self doubt if you get my meaning. It just dosn't sound right....I suppose. |
