Lightning Arrow + Pierce + Chain?

If I have 100% Pierce Chance with Lightning Arrow, will Chain have any effect on the skill or its Lightning Strike effects?

If a projectile pierces it cannot chain or fork.

If you have 100% pierce change, it won't chain. You only chain/fork if the pierce fails.
