I lose sound while playing PoE

I've found that attacking skeletons or sea witches causes the sound to sort of stutter/cut out or trigger killing the sound completely.

my sound doesnt cut out completely but does stutter heavily when theres a lot going on, which is most of poe. obviously have tried all the fixes they've announced, but had to quit for the day because its extremely god damned annoying. hope they fix it soon.

You don't have to restart your PC after getting this problem, just turn off every program that is making sounds(music player, twitch stream etc.) At least that fixes it for me.
