If you assign a value of say three passive points to a jewel socket, most build can get ten easily (for 30 points). That equals 20% increased damage per passive point spent, for a grand total of 600% increased damage from 30 points spent. This is absurdly efficient, and NO DAMAGE CLUSTER on the three comes anywhere near being as efficient. Anything more than ten jewels, and the snowball just keeps rolling.
With say 110 passive points in your build, that leaves 80 for life and defences. Remember that any damage cluster is a waste, even the best ones, since an 11th jewel would be a lot more efficient than the best damage node on the tree. Avoid damage clusters like the plague. Then 80 points is a lot of life and defence.
60% inc dmg equals a perfect 4 affix rare jewel worth multiple exalts. It equals a perfectly rolled clear mind jewel, which forces you to not run auras and still is limited to max one.
You could even swap out one or two ele dmg jewels for armor jewels without losing too much damage, thus gaining a huge amount of armor.
I made a 11 jewel RF build with 220% life (and 726% inc dmg) and a 13 jewel Oro's comk firestorm with 164% life (and 1014% inc dmg). That is utterly and completely broken as fu\
