Grand Spectrum, Math is wrong.

Well, we obviously think differently Qiox, and I don't think there is a "right way" and a "wrong way" as they are both as valid.

But from the amount of people I have seen asking about the math that was done in the video (both in the forums and in some streams) and my way of seeing things, I honestly think that both him and you are the ones doing it in a less ortodox way.

Usually you think "each jewel gives me X, and I have Y jewels".

How much does each jewel give you? Base Number (75) multiplied by amount of Grand Spectrum (10) = 750.
How many armor jewels I have (3) x 750 = 2250.

The other way of seeing things, is as valid, but I'm very certain that its not the "normal process" for "most" people:

How much base armor I'm being given by my 3 jewels? 75x3 = 225
How much is my base armor multiplied for having X number (10) of Grand Spectrum (225x10) = 2250

Don't get me wrong, both ways are valid, but I just thing the way shown in the video isn't the most natural way of thinking about it. You usually think "I have X things giving me Y each".

You have X things (3 jewels) giving you Y value each (750).
You have X things (3 jewels) give you a Y value total (225) multiplied by the GS amount (10).

Again, both are as correct, and arguably as normal, but I personally think that knowing that each armor jewel gives you X armor because you have X GS jewels is a easier approach to it.

In my train of thought, switching one of the mana jewels for another armor jewel gives you 750 more base armor, directly (because you know how much each jewel is giving you) while on your train of thought, you gotta calculate than now your total base armor from jewels is 300, that multiplied by 10 gives 3000, and subtracting the previous 2250 lets you know that you increased your armor by 750.

Knowing how much armor each jewel gives you independely is the basic info people want to know (Armor x GS amount).

Im having flashbacks to algebra classes in highscool.
Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

"But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years.
The armour jewel looks meh to me but the mana for MoM builds and the elemental damage one have serious potential.

An average build will have around 6 jewel slots, if you get 6 ele damage jewels that's 216% increased elemental damage. If you stretch the build and get 8 jewel slots, that's 384% increased elemental damage. Just from jewels.

Not bad at all.
You have to be realistic about these things.

^the armor one with aegis has potential since it free's up space on items themselves.

Then again, aegis tank build, enough said.

With 18 total jewel sockets in the passive skill tree that is a lot of traveling to get 10 jewels worth. Does that even make any kind of build sense?

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

He had 7 armour jewels. So its 75*7*10.

For the elemental% one it does, since it's a very rare modifier even within the passive tree.

for defensive ones (mana/flat armor) i highly doubt it.

But an elemental focused scion could make good use of that jewel i am sure, limiting the build to jewel sockets and EHP% increases only.

You should check your math.

The thing is, we have no idea how rare those jewels are going to be. Getting 10 of them may be on par with getting a shavs to drop.
Watching it on LNB video the math makes complete sense to me

idk
