Totems leeching life for the player

Will we get another source of totems leeching life for the player ? I love totems but i really don't like the marauder. I've been playing totems for the past 3 leagues now and I plan to do that in the next one.

Highly doubt.

Maybe use a Devouring totem.

So i was playing flame totem in the perandus HC flashback , and one of the things i tried was using a consuming dark dagger to convert some fire to chaos

then I ran abysall cry /life leech /void manipulation / IAOE

the monsters would blow up and i would leech off that , seemed to work ok just put that life leech on top of what i got from flasks

And here I am, loving both the marauder and the fire element and hating that I can't do a 8 ascendancy points chieftain without totems... Unless I decide to waste 2 points in small nodes for an amazing total of 1% Life Regen and 10% Fire Damage (not the greatest investment as far as ascendancy points go).

iam kinda late on this but that shield had a mod named
"0.5% of Damage dealt by your Totems is Leeched to you as Life" and through that it was able to provide leech to the player. its a legacy item now.

I think you got it backwards. It used to not have that mod (like 2 years ago...), but it has it now. So it's useful now.
