The current iteration of War Bringer node is pretty good (Berserker class)

War Bringer
Before
Recover 10% of Life and Mana when you use a Warcry
100% increased Warcry Cooldown Recovery Speed

After
Recover 25% of Life and Mana when you use a Warcry
100% increased Warcry Duration
100% increased Warcry Cooldown Recovery Speed

Having played berserker this league to 95 (melee before hipster respec) I can confirm that War Bringer is the best node in the berserker tree lol. The planned change is absolutely overkill. While the more damage was nice, the instant 10% life/mana recovery made the lab a complete joke. Rarely ran out of flask charges because enduring cry's regen + the instant life was an insane synergy. Just ran through traps knowing id never die. Recovering 150% more life sounds like too much. Not sure why persons weren't using it as much before


Edit: I guess this buff will keep it in line with some of the insane nodes other classes get.

That's nice for you and your playstyle, but realize two things:

Every Ascendancy class gets at least one thing that's 'insane'.

A lot of deaths in the game are effectively one shotting you...will War Bringer be able to stop that?
I still view it as mostly for Abyssal cry builds. It's pretty good in that context.
ofc it is fine. it isnt the best as the 40% more damage is just too good to pass but it is ok even in 2.2

in 2.3 it will be worth to be called an ascendancy skill.

but i do not believe it is anything broken. it is an endless instant life pot. but unlike a pot it can be disrupted while casting AND it cannot be used when frozen or mid-swing. it is a very good sustain but with all the the risks associated

as for the application: Abyssal Cry is great with it but i found myself rotating Warcries. wish there were more than 3..
I made an entire build around Warbringer, played to lvl 90 and I agree with OP.

I managed to push the duration to over 2 seconds and then some magic began, warcries overlaps and stack.

First cry gave me 800/s regen, second 1600/s, third 2400/s that's because the duration resets.

Now with double duration this bug will be exposed.

I can sustain Rightous Fire with it without further investment in regen or resists, that is good enough, no need for buff.

So you have to stop and cast enduring cry once every 2 seconds? That sounds like a clear-speed killer. But I guess it's worth it to get basically infinite regen.

True, but because of that 40% more damage, it allowed me to build extra defensively. Can't recall any one shots. Many sketchy exposure courtyard fights but no outright one shot.

Hmm when you put the cons like that I can agree :P. It definitely doesn't compare to some of the other ascendancy classes nodes. I'll just accept the melee love. Less rips in Uber lab I suppose.

War Bringer definitely highlighted the need for more war cries indeed. 100% cool down and you can only do 3 things.
