Shock duration calculation on split damage types

How is shock duration calculated when using a 60% chaos conversion voltaxic with a lightning spell? Is it based on total damage or is the chance for chaos damage to shock separate from the chance for lightning damage to shock? Does elemental conflux change this answer at all?

If we presume that this mechanic will be consistent with previous mechanics, and if we presume that viperesque knows what she's talking about here, the chaos and lightning damage should be summed up for the shock calculation

The patch wouldn't change how Conflux affects Shock, because when you have Conflux, all your damage of any type is summed up for all status effects
