This Is What Divines Do (and Dont Do) READ ME!!

Ive made at least 3 of these threads in the past and i STILL see people regularly using divines improperly or asking what they do or how they can roll because they dont understand how they work
so let me try to explain again

Lets start by focusing on just one mod to make the function of Divines as clear as possible
IPD = Increased Physical Dmg is the mod i will be giving the attention to for the purpose of showing what a Divine can do to the mod when used
This does NOT mean ONLY one mod is rolled, when you use a Divine on any item it rolls ALL the mods on the item in the same fashion as the IPD example will show.

Lets use this simple item as an example

Here we have a bow with an IPD Mod that gives 114% IPD this mod falls into the prefix mod range of the"Bloodthirsty" mod which has a range of +110-129% IPD
So if i chose to try and roll a higher IPD on this item with a Divine the HIGHEST a Divine will give me on this item is the cap of the Bloodthirsty prefix mod which is 129% IPD

Divine will only roll the mods on the item WITHIN THEIR RANGE OF STATS

Many people are under the impression that if you get ANY IPD mod on at item as long as the ilvl of the item is high enough to allow for a higher level mod a Divine can roll the mod to the highest value of that class/type of mod in the case of IPD thats a"Tyrannical" mod (150 to 169% IPD)
A Divine can NOT upgrade the Bloodthirsty mod on this bow to a Tyrannical mod. This is not how it works.

A list of prefix and suffix mods can be found below or in the item stats area of PoE site.
Some users have pointed out that it is currently out of date but im sure you can find a list somewhere and i bet GGG will update it at some point. I know they plan to add more higher level modifiers in the next patch so maybe they will update it all then.

hope this is helpful

Confirmed.
I suppose not everyone has delved into the extreme depths of the game files like others. Good post, very informative. I'm glad someone did it, since I'm to lazy.

really good to know thanks for posting this.
i <3 minesweeper
Didn't know that, not that i used any divine orbs (let alone find one yet), but good to know in the future :)

I would be good if someone made a tutorial thread with some in-depth info like this one about other orbs and stuff, as in what happens when you apply X to Y and all the stuff surrounding it, i dunno if one exists. (Probably does, if so link it here)
Thanks for the post. I was actually fixing to Divine a shitty prefix in hopes to get a better version lol... I'm very glad I found this thread by accident.
